DOD = Depth of Discharge
Simply put, it's how much of the battery's power you've used.
DOD 80% = 80% of the battery's power used (20% remaining).
DOD 100% = Fully discharged - requires a dedicated LiFePO4 charger to reactivate.
They are generally compatible. A 12V LiFePO4 battery requires a charging voltage of 14V-14.6V, which most AGM/lead-acid chargers can provide for normal charging. However, if the charger voltage is too low, it may charge the battery but fail to reach a full 100% charge.
Note:If the lithium battery is completely drained, an AGM/lead-acid charger may not be able to reactivate it.
Recommendation: For optimal performance, we recommend using a dedicated lithium battery charger.
Yes,we supply OEM/ODM batteries. We have a strong R&D team and component supply chain. We can customize everything from battery structure to BMS design, making the battery your competitive advantage, not just a purchased component.
Lilead deep cycle batteries last over 10 times longer than lead-acid batteries.
Lilead cranking batteries, one replaces two lead-acid batteries. For example, the S24110 battery can replace two 12V 200Ah lead-acid batteries, reducing 100kg weight for the vessel.
Lithium batteries can be fully discharged to 100% capacity. However, to optimize performance, extend cycle life, and prevent the BMS from disconnecting the battery due to low voltage, we recommend avoiding full discharge.
If the BMS cuts off the battery due to 100% depth of discharge (DOD), remove the load and recharge the battery to reactivate it.
